Established in 1878, the history of St. Vital Catholic School is one of desire and determination. The parish and parents of the community understood the need for an education in a Catholic school. From humble beginnings to the present, St .Vital Catholic School has been a very important part of the Parish and the community. St. Vital Catholic School strives to work in cooperation with the home, parish and community to develop our students to their fullest potential;  spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically.

St. Vital Catholic School is located in Battleford, SK, serving the community of Battleford and its rural families.  This is a unique elementary school in that it is a Catholic School in a public school division, educating around 140 students in grades Kindergarten to Grade 7, in a faith filled environment.  There is also a Pre-Kindergarten public education program offered at St. Vital. This program is not faith based and is open for any family seeking additional support with their early years learner.  In addition to the core curriculum St. Vital School also has Religion classes, Sacramental Preparation for Grade 2 students, Band for Grades 4-7, quality daily physical education, and a variety of extracurricular activities ranging from athletics to activities focusing on well-being.  The school works closely with St. Vital Roman Catholic Church in the faith formation of the students through monthly school masses, sacramental preparation with the families, and family masses throughout the school year.  We are proud of our school and how we practice the virtues of Christ in all aspects of our daily activities and relationships.
